Co-ops and Internships

As part of our commitment to hands-on, practical education, we provide you a way to get work experience so you'll be ready for your first job.

In all of these programs, you'll be paid usually between $2,000 and $3,500 each month!

You'll be with the same employer throughout the program and will be officially enrolled in a course. You won't, however, have to pay for the course, and it won't be for credit.

Expectations

In order to continue in the program, you'll be expected to maintain a satisfactory academic and disciplinary record while attending classes at the university and a satisfactory work record while employed.

Types of Opportunities

Here are three different types of opportunities:

Cooperative Education

You'll work two semesters and summer--usually a spring and summer, go to school for the fall, and then work again in the spring.

Internship

An internship is just one semester of work. It could also be a semester and a summer.

Summer

A summer work experience is good for those who don't want to interrupt their course work. You must work at least three months.
