Online Application

Beginning in early January the College of Engineering makes available an online Scholarship Application Form (you need a CLUE username and password) available after January 1 and due no later than February 1. (This form is only active during January 1 and February 1.)

All engineering students can fill out this form to qualify for scholarships. For ConE students, filling out this form will qualify you for both College of Engineering scholarships and construction engineering (ConE) scholarships.

These applications are used by ConE faculty and College of Engineering personnel to match students with scholarships.

These applications are for the upcoming fall and spring semesters.

Tips for Online Application

Essay or Letter Applications

In addition, students in the CE or ConE program receive scholarship money where the donor chooses the scholarship recipient. Students are asked to fill out an application specific to this scholarship or write an essay or letter.

Students will be notified of these scholarships as they are available and prior to their deadlines via an email message to their ISU email address and flyers posted on bulletin boards in the Town Engineering building.

When students receive the emails, they can choose to apply for those scholarships that fit their specific situations.

Tips for Completing Essay/Letter Applications

  1. If an essay is requested, be sure to use standard English conventions of grammar and punctuation to present a professional approach.
  2. If a letter is requested, be sure to use standard letter-writing conventions, learned in your English courses.
  3. Pay attention to details! Not following the instructions could remove your name from consideration.
  4. Do not use the same essay or letter to apply for the same scholarship two years in a row.
