Who are we?

Nationally and internationally, Material Advantage is an organization for students that provides access to the materials science and engineering professional's most preeminent societies: The American Ceramic Society (ACerS), Association for Iron & Steel Technology (AIST), ASM International, and The Minerals, Metals and Materials Society (TMS).

There are approximately 3,000 current members representing 378 universities around the world. Iowa State's Chapter is one of 73 active chapters.

At Iowa State, Material Advantage is an active student organization with many student members. Our chapter has been awarded most outstanding chapter five consecutive years!
