Diversity in the Worlds of Math, Science, and Engineering

Dr. Johnson is a registered professional engineer in the District of Columbia and a diplomat of the American Academy of Environmental Engineers. He is the 2005 recipient of the National Society of Black Engineers Lifetime Achievement Award in Academia and is recognized as a national leader in the development of strategies to increase underrepresented groups in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) disciplines.

Dr. Johnson will share his perspective and insights on diversity in the area of higher education in the STEM fields: is diversity more than an external view? He will also share strategies for successfully attracting underrepresented groups in the STEM areas and partnering with minority-serving institutions.
