As part of our commitment to hands-on, practical education, we provide you a way to get work experience so you’ll be ready for your first job.
In all of these programs, you’ll be paid usually between $2,000 and $3,500 each month!
You’ll be with the same employer throughout the program and will be officially enrolled in a course. You won’t, however, have to pay for the course, and it won’t be for credit.
Engineering Career Services
Want to make professional connections with potential employers? Thinking about applying for an internship? Engineering Career Services helps students and employers get connected.
Co-ops and Internships
Cooperative Education (Co-op)
You’ll work two semesters and summer–usually a spring and summer, go to school for the fall, and then work again in the spring.
An internship is just one semester of work. It could also be a semester and a summer.
Summer Career Opportunities
A summer work experience is good for those who don’t want to interrupt their course work. You must work at least three months.
In order to continue in the program, you’ll be expected to maintain a satisfactory academic and disciplinary record while attending classes at the university and a satisfactory work record while employed.
