Currently, Ms. Cavanah is a Director in Global Supplier Development for North America, for Collins Aerospace.

Ms. Cavanah and her team work to develop a capable and resilient supply chain that drives high performance and cost competitiveness by deploying an empowered, highly skilled, diverse and strategically positioned global team. We create a competitive advantage through dynamic supplier engagement, technical development and proactive risk management, and exceed the expectations of our internal and external customers.

Additional roles within Supply Chain have included Director of Global Indirect Sourcing for Collins Aerospace and Subcontracts Program Management team supporting the Airborne Solutions Portfolio.

Ms. Cavanah spent 13 years managing a team of Program Managers responsible for the total life cycle of programs, negotiation of contracts, key customer relationship development; assist in the establishment of technology and product roadmaps, and the development and execution of business plans. Her team provided military navigation solutions for 200+ airborne and ground platforms working with militaries and OEMs in the US and Internationally.

Prior to her position as a programs manager, Ms. Cavanah was a Materials and Process Development Engineer in the Advanced Technology Center of Rockwell Collins. Responsibilities were in the development of new interconnect and assembly processes, including material evaluation, training, analysis, and process verification. She provided technical support as an ‘expert on call’ for Rockwell Collins business units in the microelectronics, IC packaging and reliability, and materials science regimes. 

Ms. Cavanah graduated from Iowa State University with a Bachelor of Science in Ceramic Engineering in 1993, a Masters of Science in Material Science and Engineering in 2001, and an Executive Masters of Business Administration from the University of Iowa in 2003.

Ms. Cavanah joined Rockwell Collins in May 1993 as an Advanced Operations Process Engineer responsible for microelectronic processes. She was recognized for her achievements as a Rockwell International DaVinci Engineer of the Year for 1999. A patent was awarded in 1999 for “High Strength Au Wire for Microelectronics”.
